Who we are...

I've been watching a new tv show called "Who Do You Think You Are?" which is all about family history. Growing up I have had Grandparents on both sides that we really into genealogy so I have never had much to do.

Marrying Blair has opened up a whole new family tree to discover and explore and I have become slightly obsessed. I blame my two week free ancestry.com subscription. I have to do my sleuthing now! I have found some pretty interesting things online but the best part is it has opened a discussion with Nanny & Pappy (Blair's grandparents) about their family. Just last night we had a party for my nephew and sat around going through some old family photo's. Like this one of Pappy & Grandpa fishing. I just love it. Isn't my father in law just the cutest little Guy?

I hope to be able to get together with N&P again soon to start documenting their life stories. The little tidbits I have heard so far are fascinating. Maybe I will get all the good "dating stories" from Nanny. Hopefully Pappy will tell me all about his WWII service in the South Pacific. Especially since high school was so boring he decided to join the Navy at 17.

I can't wait!

Christmas- Part 3 (the Karafa's)

We celebrated Christmas with the Karafa family Saturday the 27th. Nanny, Pappy (Blair's Grandparents), Grandma & Papa Karafa, Aunt Tara, Uncle Zo & Jaxon were all there. It was nice to get together with everyone. It doesn't happen too often. I didn't get a picture but Blair deep fried our turkey and it was delicious! Very moist & yummy! Good job Babe!

Dillon had a fun time riding his horsey Papa.

Jordan had fun while waiting unpatiently to open the presents.
Big hits....the Lobo & Aggies presents from Uncle Zo & Aunt Tara
Blair had Pappy this year for our gift exchange. He got him a photo (of us) puzzle. It came in a cool tin with the picture on top. Hope he liked it.
Grandma & Papa got the boys some pretty cool bikes (that Mommy picked out). They have been a huge hit. Dillon needs to grow a few inches before he really going.
Ah! I think I am finally caught up!
